Is this free?

What does the link actually do?
It’s your normal channel link with ?sub_confirmation=1 on the end. That tells YouTube to show the subscribe prompt when the channel opens, so the viewer is one tap away instead of having to find the button.
Does it subscribe people automatically?
No. The viewer still confirms. The link only puts the prompt in front of them, which is why it’s allowed.
